Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) now offers direct container service to seven destinations in Northern Europe through the Jacksonville (Jaxport) Port Authority.

This, since the ScanBaltic to USA service of MSC, is Jacksonville's only direct container itinerary to/from Scandinavia.

The biweekly service will begin calling at the SSA Jacksonville Container Terminal (JCT) with the arrival of the container ship MSC Olia at the end of April. SSA Atlantic will provide stevedoring services on Blount Island.

The port rotation is Klaipeda, Lithuania; Gdynia, Poland; Gothenburg, Sweden; Bremerhaven, Germany; Felixstowe, England; Antwerp, Belgium; Le Havre, France; NY; Philadelphia; norfolk; Jacksonville; and Klaipeda, Lithuania.

ScanBaltic to USA is MSC's fifth container service in Jaxport. MSC also offers existing service from the Port of Jacksonville to destinations in Asia via 2M Alliance, a North American service, Canada Gulf Bridge, and two services to the Caribbean, Bahamas Express and Florida Gulf Feeder.
